Charles Wesley was born to Susanna and Samuel Wesley as their 18th child.  He was born in Epworth, Lincolnshire England.  He went to Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford.  He was ordained there and followed in his footsteps, at least as a rector. He was the brother of John Wesley, one of the Reformers.
