I have had a personal experience with this hymn.  One time I was in charge of an adult leadership retreat. It was at an old church in Liberty, Utah.  We had lots of different games and activities.  Then, since our stake president's name was Glade and we were in the forest (at least camping on the edge of the forest), I used this song as our closing song.  I was deeply satisfied with the results as the spirit moved me graciously throughout the hymn.
